December 2nd 2007 - Hawkeye Downs announces the hire of Chris Stocks as Director of Race Operations
Cedar Rapids, IA, November 27, 2007:
Mr. Roy Nowers, General Manager of Hawkeye Downs is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Chris Stocks as the Director of Race Operations. Mr. Stocks will bring a level of professionalism and knowledge that will insure Hawkeye Downs advances its position as eastern Iowas' premier auto racing facility, Nowers said. "I am excited and confident that with Mr. Stocks leadership and abilities Hawkeye Downs will see increased car counts, increased attendance and more racing action."
Mr. Stocks most recently was the owner/promoter of the USST Super Truck Series. The Midwest Super Truck Series and the United States Super Truck Series Northern Division prospered under Stocks guidance. Mr. Stocks responsibilities at Hawkeye Downs will include all race promotions, management, and event operations. Mr. Stocks will begin work the first week of December 2007.
Hawkeye Downs is Iowas' only paved racetrack offering a weekly racing series comprised of ½ mile and ¼ mile racing action. Hawkeye Downs regularly attracts racers and fans from across Iowa and throughout the Midwest to participate in racing activities.
